College Station, the lone Brazos Valley team to hold spring drills, will play its only scrimmage at 6 p.m. Friday at Cougar Stadium against Temple. A&M Consolidated will scrimmage at Tomball at 7:15 p.m. Friday.
All four local UIL schools will open the regular season next week. College Station will play Richmond Foster at 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at Katy Legacy Stadium. The other three will play Aug. 30 with Bryan at Waller at 7:30 p.m., Consol hosting Killeen Ellison at 7 p.m. and Rudder playing Bastrop at Merrill Green Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
Admission for Thursday’s scrimmage between Bryan and Rudder is free, but school officials will be accepting donations for the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation’s “Our Day to Shine” campaign.
